Tosin Ipaye is a Climate Change and Energy Lawyer with over seven years’ experience designing and executing projects in the energy sector. She obtained her LL. B degree from Igbinedioin University, Nigeria and her LL.M in Climate Change, Energy Law and Policy from the University of Dundee.
She is currently a Programme Manager at the Rural Electrification Agency (“REA”), Nigeria, and also works as a project manager for the Energizing Education Programme (“EEP”) which is a Federal Government of Nigeria Initiative implemented by the REA to provide clean, reliable and sustainable power to selected tertiary institutions across Nigeria through the deployment of solar hybrid power plants; installation of streetlights for illumination and improved safety as well as the construction of a world class energy workshop and training center for training on various aspects of renewable energy for students and staff of the EEP beneficiary institutions.
In addition, she is the coordinator of the EEP Female STEM Internship Programme which is an initiative to provide training on technical and non-technical aspects of renewable energy as well as hands-on practical experience to selected female STEM students across the EEP Beneficiary Institutions in the design and construction of solar power systems.
As a climate change and energy expert, she has demonstrated excellence in project development and management, policy development and advisory, gender mainstreaming, monitoring & evaluation, research and reporting and capacity building.
