Daystar Power

Daystar Power is a leading power service provider in Africa.   The company designs, builds, owns and operates on-site hybrid solar power solutions for large customers.  These systems can range from small solar systems to megawatt size power plants.  Daystar was founded in Nigeria in 2017, through Sunray Ventures and was then acquired by Shell in September 2022, marking Shell's first power acquisition in Africa.   Following the Shell acquisition, Daystar launched in South Africa in 2023.  The South African expansion is being built on the foundation and expertise of the West African business.  Daystar now operates in 7 countries - Nigeria, Ghana, Côte d'Ivoire, Togo, Senegal, Tanzania and South Africa.
